Ron Emig has been oil painting for more than 40 years. In the early 1990s he began to focus more on Western subject matter. Since then, he has traveled extensively throughout the West gathering research material to develop into oil paintings in his Leslie, Missouri studio. Ron has participated many times in "The Artist Ride," a by invitation only gathering of 50 artists from across the country held in South Dakota.

In 2006, Emig was named "Artist of the Year" for the third time by Mid Missouri Fine Art Society. He has had several one man shows as well as participated in national shows such as the San Francisco Grand National, the Nebraska Governors show and the American Miniature Show at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK. His art can be found in collections across the country.

Emig is represented by Art Trends Gallery, St. Louis, MO, and The Art Center Gallery, Washington, MO.
