I have a BFA from the University of Missouri, Columbia. My first jobs were in the Archeology Museum at MU and then in the Norfolk Art Museum in Virginia arranging exhibits and doing odd jobs. I've been an art teacher for 28 years, teaching in inner city, rural, and suburban schools, public and private. Since retiring, my husband and I have built a studio over our garage (doing much of the work ourselves). I'm now spending a lot of my time in my studio making lampwork beads and quilting. I'm still teaching occasionally, mainly workshops in marbling fabric to use in quilting. I've been the featured lampworker at several trunk shows at A Strand Above, a local bead shop. My great love in art has always been color. I continue to explore and enjoy this in all my work. Liza's Studio
