Jerry received a BFA from Westminster/William Woods in Fulton, MO in 1978, with concentrations in sculpture, watercolor and drawing. While attending there, Jerry became interested in photography and won the Columns Bluejay Annual Photography Competition award in 1976. Immediately after graduation, he found himself working with a local Through the 80s and early into the 90s, Jerry enjoyed creating landscape watercolors. Starting in the mid 80s with the purchase of a medium format Pentax 67 camera, his interest grew in photography. Today Jerry enjoys capturing portraits of people in costume. The people reveal themselves through the masks they wear. Through the years he has been mixing sculpture, painting, photography and furniture making. As with my watercolors, I am always searching for the richest possible color.
