Janis Burgin was the fifth of seven children. She loved to paint and draw as a teenager. She was married just out of high school and started a family. At the age of twenty five Janis thought she should start doing some of the things she has always loved to do. She began taking Art classes at a local Hobby Store. After a year of taking classes. Her husband’s job took them to a different area. Janis decided to get a certifiction to teach "Painting in a Day" through the Bob Ross Company. After being certified, Janis began learning more each year. She went on to be certified in "Floral Painting" along with "Mastering the technique in Landscapes." In 1995 Janis started taking studio art on the college level and now has five years in. She opened JB Art Studio in California, Missouri in 1999 where she holds Art classes. Janis teaches several techniques of oil painting and drawing along with children workshops. She plans to never quit learning. JB Art Studio
