Posted @withregram@wandatynerglassart What do you think of these beautiful royal luster pendants -- one red on black, one copper on black? I am loving the depth of this design. Artistic Process: Beautiful Jewelry made with handmade royal metallic luster on glass. The Glass has a clear base with a vibrant gold metallic finish. This glass was then fired with a black glass under and clear capped on top for extra depth. Then the glass was cut into the shape for the pendant and fire polished in the kiln. I just added this to my website.

New exhibition opening on May 3: Jaune Quick-to-See Smith!

This exhibition marks the SLAM debut for State Names Map: Cahokia and Trade Canoe: Cahokia, a recent painting and sculpture Smith created in 2023 for the Counterpublic triennial in St. Louis. Based on two of her long-running series, the painting and sculpture respond to deep histories of cross-cultural trade and Indigenous displacement associated with the St. Louis region.

Join us for our Artists in Conversation lecture on May 4 with Jaune Quick-to-See Smith and her son, artist Neal Ambrose-Smith.
